During our team’s 2026 design cycle, I was in charge of creating three banners that would be presented at our team’s Rollout. Rollout is an annual event where the engineers unveil the new car, and every year, Texas A&M Formula Electric’s Marketing Team tries to go above and beyond. I wanted to create these banners so guests who may know absolutely nothing about the team can quickly glance at them and understand the different parts of the team and our values.
This project allowed me to collaborate with our entire team and in doing so I was able to gain a vast knowledge of what each individual sub-team does and how it affects the overall car. This experience made me much more comfortable when talking to potential sponsors about how the car operates and how much work the engineers put into the design.
I also gained vast experience in designing on a larger scale. With my experience in Adobe Illustrator I was able to create a design that followed our brand guidelines, maintained high quality for printing, and still portrayed my own personal design style. Overall, I hope to be able to work on another project like this because I believe that design has the ability to portray a company’s overall style and values, and I enjoy the journey of starting with a blank page and turning it into a story.
